::: Entry III : Rescoring 'Dracula' :::

Francis Ford Coppola's 'Dracula' (1992) has long been one of my cinematic guilty pleasures. One of the many reasons I enjoy it so much is Wojciech Kilar's brilliant score. When I rescore any film, I always approach the original work with appreciation and respect. Often times, the challenge of creating new music for a brilliant film provides it's own inspiration. - M J

::: Entry II : Rescoring 'Serenity' :::

This clip is from a film called 'Serenity' (2005), directed by Joss Whedon. It holds a special place in my heart as one of the first cues I ever rescored. The music was performed by an orchestra of professional musicians at the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop (2008), conducted and composed by yours truly.  - M J

::: Entry I : 'Wherein All is Revealed' :::

Welcome to Rescoring Blog!

My name is Milosz Jeziorski, I'm the moderator and resident composer of this blog. The focus of 'Rescoring Blog' is film music, and the power of music to influence a film narrative.

One of the best ways for film composers to hone their craft is to 'rescore' scenes from pre-existing films. Most of the movies posted here will be cues I've rescored. Occasionally, I'll mention projects I'm officially working on, and post music samples from those scores as well.

Finally, if you love film or music, I hope this blog will entertain, inform and possibly even inspire you.

Alright, enough extravagant promises. Let's break this blog in !
